Personal Statement
My name is Robert Elliott; I am a video and visual designer. I was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, where I found my dream of digital media and storytelling. For the past 5 years and counting, I have been learning and practicing the arts of film, photography, and digital marketing and design to eventually be a vital member of the film industry, either as an indie filmmaker or as part of a team making stunning visuals and heartbreaking stories. This story of mine, day by day, is turning from a dream to a goal. Please join me on my journey by supporting my work!
Derailment I The Short Film
The signal isn’t so much a sound as a concern. Signals aren’t a lie. They are just the beginning. The beginning of the hell I’ve put myself through. They are loudest when quiet. Before you’re in too deep, turn back and run.
Derailment is a dramatic story backed by breath-taking visuals and sound design. The story follows a man who is addicted to the internet and soon meets the consequences of letting himself be swallowed whole. With stunning visuals and music you are taken along this mans journey. The short film was made by Robert Elliott and Cade Ireton, two young, creative college students putting their creative passion online for others to see. Robert Elliott is the founder of Ellexposure Studios where he tell stories through creating beautiful photos and film from the ground up. He has a background of Photography, Videography, Sound Design, as well as graphic design and animation. Cade Ireton is the founder of Lucade Music, where he tells stories through his songs. He is a music producer, remix artist, DJ, graphic designer, and storyteller who manages two artist pages under the label.Derailment is a collaboration between the two. With Robert Elliott being the man behind the camera and responsible for the breath taking visuals that take place in Derailment. Cade was the musical mastermind behind Derailment, carefully putting together a four track E.P. that encapsulates the visuals perfectly. Our dream with this short film is to turn it into a fully fledged feature film with a longer runtime and set release date of August 2026.
